A reliable hose is necessary when handling potentially hazardous materials like Hot Bitumen, and has to be regularly checked for wear.

Flexible stainless steel convoluted hose with a full range of threaded hose connection fittings for bituminous materials.

Bitumen Hose Convoluted Hoses
• 2.5 to 3m – for most transfer in the field between sprayers and tankers
• 4 to 5m – for general storage facilities
• 6 to 7m for large storage facilities and areas in depots where access may be limited
• If a length excess of 7m is required, it is recommended that where possible, a combination of fixed pipe and a shorter length hose be used

Examples
2 1/2″ stainless steel 316 convoluted standard-flex hose with protective armour wire. Higher flexibility, lighter weight, fully welded hose seal, stronger and more secure fit of the AS 2475 threaded hose connections.
2 1/2″ galvanised bitumen interlocked hose with packing hose sealed by silicone packing
Bituminous hand bard hoses, generally 9 metres long fitted with 1″ brass BSPT male end fittings\

Bituminous spray bar hoses are also available and made to customers’ spray truck requirements. Typically 3″ SS316 Convoluted Singled Braided Standard-flex with carbon steel Table E flanges, one fixed, and one floating, and a 2 1/2″ SS316 Convoluted single braided Standard-flex with carbon steel fixed table E flanges.
